On the occasion of the inauguration of its new plant in Bévilard (today, June 21), Schaublin Machines is going to unveil a combined machine (turning and grinding) dedicated to microtechnology. This novelty will then be presented at EMO.

The machining zone has been specially designed to be resistant to the abrasive powders (grinding) and chips (turning and milling). It is modular and allows different types of configuration, for example:
- Turning/milling machine with tooling of a 102 lathe and a turret
- Grinding machine with 4 grinding spindles (internal and/or external)
- Combined machine with a turret and grinding spindles .
Adapted peripherals The design allows flexible programming and use and makes the machine adapted to small series, but simultaneously, high productivity and robustness of the machine also means it for large volumes of production and automation. Many peripherals are developed according to the needs of machining (tanks, conveyors and pumps adapted to the three alternatives presented above). Use can largely be automated by the addition of loading and unloading systems as well as a bar loader (max diameter: 19 mm).
.
Some features
- Horizontal cast iron bench
- W25 spindle (like the 102 lathe)
- 2 XZ cross slides
- X stroke: 150 mm
- Z stroke: 300 mm
- Turret VDI 16, max. 12 tools including 6 live tools
- Internal grinding spindle, V. max. 60’000 rpm (ESX16/B8)
- External grinding spindle, V. max. 25’000 rpm (ESX25/B15)
.
To be discover in more detail in our next issue of Eurotec.
PS: I will come back to the event of the day (with the exceptional presence of a surprise guest) very quickly.
