Rimann acquires UMC activities

March 2011

The specialist of systems for chips processing, oil extraction, filtration and recycling of industrial residues and impurities such as chips, tramp oil, swarf and micro-organism bought the activities and know how of UMC. As of Today, industries will be able to buy the UMC products at Rimann’s.

With this move, Rimann carries on its evolution to become a global solution provider in term of treatment after machining. Already active in washing system for the regeneration of precious metals and residues in the watch industry, the UMC activity opens the door to the realization of personalized tanks and baskets to include to wash or treatment machines.

Blast cleaning of springs prior to coating

Shot blasting is the most common pre-treatment technology to prepare the surface of technical springs for subsequent coating operations. In a newly established manufacturing line for compression springs this cleaning operation takes place in a Rösler tumble belt blast machine. Within short cycle times the custom-engineered RMBC 4.2-HD produces surfaces that are perfectly prepared for the subsequent coating operation. Dürr Ecoclean supplied its 100th EcoCFlex to a South German automotive manufacturer

In the 100th year of its history, 2016, the BMW Group ordered the 100th EcoCFlex system from Dürr Ecoclean. The anniversary specimen of the flexible robot cell forms part of a three-unit package and has received a special painting.
