Until recently, Renaud, the Swiss manufacturer of high precision spindles, was limited in its development by cramped premises. What a pity for a growing company not to be able to hire staff because of lack of space! Meeting with M. Jean-Jacques Ceccaldi, an entrepreneur looking for excellence which has moved a little closer to it this summer.
After 10 months of study, 10 months of work and more than 40 displaced machines in 15 days of moving, the company is operational in Boudry in its new ultra-modern premises that correspond to the image of quality and performance of the spindles made by this manufacturer.
Tripled surface, beautiful setting "We were limited in terms of gross sales growth, but also with regard to the employees and production means," explains the director. And as the business goals of the company are ambitious and the market is demanding, the new construction project was quickly implemented. With a floor space of 3,000 m2 (tripled compared to its former premises) the new plant impresses with the quality it displays. M. Ceccaldi explains: “The building offers continuously controlled atmosphere and we particularly worked on the ergonomics of working places”. The structure is equipped with the latest home automation technologies and temperature management (heat pumps, recovery systems). New services to offer more Today the turnover of the company is made with the development and delivery of new spindles (mainly for machines manufacturers), but also through the overhaul service of spindles (Renaud and from all other manufacturers) for users. M. Ceccaldi says: “The two domains are growing, our performence is very good in both cases”. And to be more effective, Renaud has implemented two separate organisations for these two fields of activities, both regarding parts supplies and assembly. The objective? To ensure the delivery of the order in 3 to 4 weeks for overhaul (without disrupting the workflow of the new spindles).
