Affolter Technologies SA presents at this year’s EMO the new model Gear AF110. With a module range of 1.0 mm (DP 25.4) in steel, Affolter enlarges its Gear Line upwards for applications such as gear box producers, aircraft and automobile suppliers industries.
The AF110 can cut all kind of different gear types as well as worms. With this machine, Affolter has achieved to double the module range whilst keeping the dynamic and compact construction for which Affolter machines are well known. The clamping force has been tripled and the hob spindle has been reinforced and equipped with a support bearing, all this with a ground space of the basic machine of slightly more than 1 m2. The workpiece data are 56 mm in diameter and 160 mm in length with 80 mm cutting length. The machine has 7 to 10 CNC-axes depending on the options and is equipped with the highly dynamic and user-friendly Affolter CNC-Control.
