Since 1981, the coupling manufacturer ENEMAC has been offering stainless steel safety and shaft couplings that fulfil the highest hygiene requirements in food production as well as in medical and pharmaceutical technology. Through the continuous development of new types in this segment and the constant further development of proven products, ENEMAC ensures that its comprehensive portfolio of stainless steel couplings is always optimised to meet the specific requirements of these industries.
Safety couplings: Precise torque limitation
ENEMAC’s safety couplings ensure reliable torque limitation and protect systems such as packaging machines or filling systems from overloading. One example is the ECR safety coupling, which was specially developed for indirect drives such as sprocket or toothed belt drives. It enables infinitely variable adjustment of the disengagement torque in the range from 15 Nm to 350 Nm and thus offers precise customisation to the respective application.
Stainless steel shaft couplings: Backlash-free torque transmission
ENEMAC offers various metal bellows couplings for demanding applications that require backlash-free torque transmission:
1. Metal bellows coupling EWC This coupling covers nominal torques from 5 Nm to 1,000 Nm and consists entirely of stainless steel components such as stainless steel bellows, stainless steel hubs and stainless steel screws. The components are joined seamlessly using micro-plasma welding technology to ensure compliance with hygiene requirements.
2. EWR metal bellows coupling Manufactured in a half-shell hub design, this variant is suitable for systems that are difficult to access with limited installation space and for applications with rigid or non-displaceable input and output shafts. The torque range is between 10 Nm and 1,200 Nm.
Distance couplings: Maximum flexibility
The EWLC stainless steel spacer coupling enables shaft distances of up to 3 metres to be bridged. It consists of two metal bellows couplings that are connected by a variable-length stainless steel intermediate tube. As well as being able to compensate for significant misalignments, the EWLC can also be used as a backlash-free connecting, cardan or synchronising shaft. It is available in seven sizes and covers nominal torques of up to 1,200 Nm.
Corrosion-protected safety couplings
For applications where stainless steel is not absolutely necessary, ENEMAC offers safety couplings in a corrosion-protected design. These torque limiters benefit from specialised hardening processes such as nitrocarburising, gas nitriding and a final oxidation. Ball bearings and balls are made of stainless steel, while disc springs are coated. These variants are ideal for use outdoors or in damp environments.
ENEMAC combines technological precision with hygienic design to provide robust and reliable solutions for highly regulated industries.
