Amsonic Precision Cleaning in Biel, has acquired, as per 1st September 2011, from Steris AG in Pieterlen, the know-how of the „Hamo Life Sciences“ product-line announces Hansruedi Moser CEO of Amsonic group.
With this reverse acquisition (the product line was taken over by Steris in 2003, when Steris acquired the whole Hamo group); the cleaning equipment for pharmaceutical, cosmetics and general research industries product lines goes back into the responsibility of the Moser entrepreneur-family. „Healthcare“division of Steris (including the concerned after sales) remains in the responsibility of Steris.
Amsonic’s wider product range Starting September 2011 the former engineering team of Steris „LifeSciences“ now work at Amsonic’s premises. With the help of Amsonic’s employees they will guarantee new products development and secure Hamo well known products’ lives:

- HAMO T-420
- HAMO T-840
- HAMO Customized equipment
Two products lines This reverse acquisition confirms the strategy of Amsonic. Alongside the markets of industrial parts cleaning (with Amsonic machines), the company now address (again) the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and research markets with competitive cleaning solutions (with Hamo machines). Furthermore this acquisition allows to maintain qualified jobs in the Biel region.
